The hiatus is over, and the book has been written and is going to be published March 17th. Its not a book about the advanced stats in baseball. Rather, it is taking a somewhat regular feature in the early years of the blog, highlighting the great names in baseball history, and putting them (and a bunch more new ones) into a book.
The book is titled “Hall of Name: Baseball’s Most Magnificent Monikers from ‘The Only Nolan’ to ‘Van Lingle Mungo’ and More” (clinching the title for longest-named new baseball book for the 2020 season).
We’ve got a foreword from Jayson Stark and a back cover blurb from John Thorn.
